Variety reports from MIPCOM that Univergroup Pictures and Onyx Films are partnering on the 3-D CG feature, MIRACULOUS LADY BUG. The story follows a teen superhero who has to balance between saving Paris and teenage dramas such as tests and boys.

The feature will have a budget of $50 million. Animator/board artist Thomas Astruc devised the idea and will direct.

The studios plan to launch a TV series after the feature. Production will be handled by Method Animation and Zagtoon.

Univergroup will publish comics for iPad and iPhone. Spel will handle the retail arena.
