FOX's epic new sci-fi series TERRA NOVA will no longer preview this May, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Fox president Kevin Reilly said the show preview was scrapped and a fall premiere set due to more time needed for the show's ambitious visual effects. The story is set in a future where Earth has been environmentally devastated and humans travel back to prehistoric times in order to set things straight.

20th Century Fox Television, Chernin Ent., DreamWorks Television and Kapital Ent. are the studios. Alex Graves will direct the pilot and exec produce with Peter Chernin, Steven Spielberg, Brannon Braga, Aaron Kaplan, Katherine Pope, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, Jon Cassar, Craig Silverstein and Kelly Marcel.
