Out of the 3D Entertainment Summit, Real D let slip plans to make designer and prescription glasses with lenses compatible with Real D 3D. While no formal announcement has been made, VARIETY reports that Real D head Michael Lewis said designer glasses, from brands such as Gucci, will hit the market before the release of James Cameron's AVATAR in December. Prescription lenses are still a bit away though. Additionally, there are plans to make smaller sized glasses for children.
