Pixar's Andrew Gordon and Michal Makerawicz have set up the workshop Animation Collaborative directly across the street from the famed studio. A group of animators, story artists and character designers have started teaching workshops after hours. The workshops only take eight students per class.

The instructors are the same people involved in the animation, story and art internships. For fall and winter, they are offering workshops in animation, story, character design and gesture drawing and pose analysis. Gordon and Makerawicz hope the workshop will become a place for pros to hone their skills too.
