Fox has released the third trailer from Blue Sky’s Epic, which features action and humor and introduces a new sidekick in the form of a talking slug.

From the creators of Ice Age and Rio, the CG-animated Epic tells the story of an ongoing battle deep in the forest between the forces of good and the forces of evil. When a teen age girl finds herself magically transported into this secret universe, she must band together with a rag-tag team of fun and whimsical characters in order to save their world...and ours.

Directed by Chris Wedge, Epic is based upon William Joyce’s The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs. Produced by Lori Forte (Ice Age: Continental Drift) and Jerry Davis (Robots), Epic features the voices of Beyonce Knowles, Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Knoxville, Aziz Ansari, Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis, Steven Tyler, Blake Anderson, and Judah Friedlander.
