Walden Media co-founder Michael Flaherty has told The Christian Post that the next film in the NARNIA film series will be the sixth book written by C.S. Lewis THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW. The story is a prequel to THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE and serves as an origin story of Narnia where the Pevensie children's uncle Digory Kirke travels to Narnia when he was a child. Walden Media is in talks with Fox to return as the distribution partner.

The last NARNIA film, VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER, earned $107 million in the U.S. and $312 million internationally.
