Disney will pay seven figures to LOST exec producer Damon Lindelof to write/produce the sci-fi tentpole 1952, reports Deadline.com. No plot details have surfaced, but word is that the studio is eying the project for multiple platforms.

Since LOST, Lindelof has been a hot screenwriter, having worked with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci on COWBOYS & ALIENS and was integral part of Ridley Scott's ALIEN prequel transforming into the original PROMETHEUS. He, Kurtzman and Orci are now waiting on director J.J. Abrams to read their 70-page treatment for the STAR TREK sequel before starting that script.
