Paramount has tapped David Ellison's Skydance Pictures and New Regency to co-fund Doug Liman's LUNA, reports Variety. The plot follows rogue scientists who build a spaceship in order to travel to the moon where they can steal a powerful energy source. Liman penned the original draft with John Hamburg. Liman, Simon Kinberg (another writer on the project) and Allison Shearmur are producing.

Liman has talked with Bradley Cooper, Chris Evans and Andrew Garfield about joining the cast. The project was once in development at DreamWorks.
