Legendary Pictures has bought Ian Fried's script SPECTRAL, writes Heat Vision. Described as a dark, serious take on the GHOSTBUSTERS idea, the story follows a special ops crew that fights evil ghosts in New York City. The deal was worth six figures. Fried has made a name for himself as a writer with his spec scripts, which include the fairy tale murder mystery THE EVER AFTER MURDERS and the Florence Nightingale and Jack the Ripper serial killer thriller GASLIGHT.
