Press Release from Imira Ent.

Imira Entertainment, Spain's leading production and distribution company specialising in youth programming, has signed a deal to co-produce new 3D HD series Escape Hockey which is created by Enne Entertainment Studios in Spain and has been nominated for a prestigious Pulcinella Award in the cross-media category. Imira will also handle worldwide distribution, and will be at MIPTV seeking broadcast partners.

Aimed at 6-12 year olds, Escape Hockey (26x26') is a blend of comedy and space adventure that tells the story of Dan, who is abducted along with his friends to a prison planet named Plutonium. The only way for him to go back home is to win the great Escape Hockey Tournament, the biggest sporting event in the galaxy, where the most dangerous inmates battle it out for the ultimate prize. Their freedom!

The series will be produced in two versions, a standard television series and an interactive version which will feature the innovative gaming format 'Watch and Play' -a revolutionary system that allows the viewer watch the series and play at the same time thanks to the mini-games integrated in each chapter. Scenes incorporated in the storyline will be played out by the viewer. This will be developed with VOD, online, interactive TV and games console platforms in mind.

Sergi Reitg, CEO at Imira Entertainment said: "This is an exciting project to be involved in. The 'Watch and Play' format gives us many opportunities to extend the viewing experience for fans. It will also be an attractive element for broadcasters as it will provide unique content that crosses the channel and online platforms. We will be showcasing this series at MIPTV and looking for broadcast partners."

Javier Martinez, enne's Creative Director and Escape Hockey Executive Producer states that "we have worked very hard in the past years to create a new format that adds value to kids using more interactive tools. This is how we created the "Watch & Play" format and we strongly believe that it will help broadcasters to extend their reach to new media and create loyalty around brands. Working with Imira allows us to benefit from their huge experience and know how in the kid entertainment industry".

The Pulcinella Awards will be announced at Cartoons on the Bay 2010 Festival on the 15th April.
