Zach Galifianakis is in negotiations to join Ryan Reynolds in R.I.P.D., reports 24 Frames. Based on the Dark Horse comic, the story follows police for the dead where a recently dead officer (Reynolds) partners with an officer who has been dead for a hundred years, which would be played by THE HANGOVER star.

Robert Schwentke (RED) is taking the helm of the film. Dark Horse's Mike Richardson and Lawrence Gordon, and Original Film's Neal Moritz will produce. Scott Bernstein and Maradith Frenkel will shepherd for Universal.
