DreamWorks Animation is moving ahead with its first musical MONKEYS OF BOLLYWOOD, reports Variety. Gurinder Chadha (BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM) and her husband Paul Berges will produce the film based on THE RAMAYANA. In the story, two monkeys set out to thwart a demon from taking over the world.

SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE composer A.R. Rahman and WICKED lyricist Stephen Schwartz will pen the songs. Bill Damaschke and Chris Kuser are shepherding.
