Disney’s Frozen Will Be CG, Not Hand-Drawn
In December, as reported by Bleeding Cool, Disney announced that Frozen would be the studio’s animated offering for the Holiday 2013 window. An adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen, the project has been in development at Disney off and on for at least a decade: originally shelved in late 2002, Glen Keane infamously quit the project in 2003, and the film was put on hold again in March 2010.
When the project was last in development, in 2010, it was set to be Disney’s next hand-drawn animated film after The Princess and the Frog. According to a report by SlashFilm, however, Disney has confirmed that Frozen will not be hand-drawn; the movie will be a 3D CG animated feature, and presented in stereoscopic 3D in theaters.
Frozen is set to release on November 27, 2013.

The biggest lseson here is this. John Lasseter has to quit doing what HE wants and think of what Walt and The Disney fans want.Cars 1 JL loves Cars and Route 66 which inspired an uninspiring movieCars Land John is in charge and his priority is to dedicate incredibly Valuable Park space in CALIORNIA adventure to be the ARIZONA desert and filled with the flattest characters in the Pixar universe?Cars 2 Justified with Cars merchandising, he tries to expand his franchise internationally but focuses on the Jar Jar Binks of Pixar characters.Don't get me wrong. I love Lasseter, but Pixar had better franchises to put on a pedestal than Cars.
