The Oscar-winning DEPARTED writer William Monahan has been tapped to rewrite the script for SIN CITY 2, reports Heat Vision. Frank Miller adapted his own comic for the first draft. Miller will return to co-direct with Robert Rodriguez. The film will be based on "A Dame to Kill For" and two original tales. Because no cast has been announced, it is unclear whether Clive Owen, Mickey Rourke or Jessica Alba will reprise his role as Dwight McCarthy, Marv and Nancy, respectively, from the original film.
