Columbus' 1492, CJ Acquire Troll Hunter Rights
Chris Columbus’ 1492 Pictures and CJ Entertainment & Media have purchased the remake rights to the Norwegian found-footage film TROLL HUNTER, reports Deadline.com. Directed by Andre Ovredal, the original film is being released to theaters and VOD by Magnolia this weekend.
The film follows student documentary makers looking into a series of bear killings that lead them to discovering giant trolls.
1492's Columbus, Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe are the producers alongside the original film's producers John M. Jacobsen and Sveinung Golimo of Filmkameratene AS.
