Bradley Cooper revealed on CHARLIE ROSE that he is in talks to write an adaptation of Dan Simmons' sci-fi series HYPERION. Along with Conal Byrne, he wrote a spec treatment for his vision and pitched it to rights holder Graham King Productions.

The futuristic story follows an impending intergalactic war surrounding the mysterious Time Tombs on the planet Hyperion.

Previously, the project was set up at Warner Bros. with Scott Derrickson (THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL) attached to direct.
