Mark Verheiden, who was a writer/producer on such series as BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, HEROES and the upcoming FALLING SKIES, will team with Akiva Goldsman to write the TV portion of THE DARK TOWER project, reports Deadline.com. Verheiden will also exec produce with Goldsman.

Universal Pictures, NBC Universal TV Entertainment, Imagine Ent. and Weed Road Pictures are behind the epic film trilogy and TV series adaptation of Stephen King's epic fantasy series. Ron Howard is directing both the first feature and the TV series, which will serve as a bridge to the second feature.
