Adamson to Turn Beasts of Burden Comic Into Animated Film
Andrew Adamson (SHREK and CHRONICLES OF NARNA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE) is set to adapt Dark Horse's comic BEASTS OF BURDEN into a CG animated feature, writes Heat Vision. Strange Weather Films' Adamson and Aron Warner will produce alongside Dark Horse Ent.'s Mike Richardson. Reel FX will animated the film.
The story follows a group of dogs and one cat that partner in order to save their community from a supernatural threat. Evan Dorkin (MILK & CHEESE) and Jill Thompson (SCARY GODMOTHER) created the characters for THE DARK HORSE BOOK OF HAUNTINGS, WITCHCRAFT, THE DEAD AND MONSTERS.
Dark Horse's Keith Goldberg will exec produce and Strange Weather’s Jeff Fierson co-produce. Reel FX’s head of feature development Jared Mass is shepherding the project.
