3net Launching 3-D Kids Block
The Hollywood Reporter writes that 3-D TV network, 3net, will launch a kids block on Oct. 1. "3net Three Dee Kids" will air Saturdays and Sundays, featuring the CG animated series BOLTS & BLIP and DREAM DEFENDERS. Additionally, the network will debut 3-D family films such as CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS, OPEN SEASON and MONSTER HOUSE.
BOLTS & BLIP is produced by ToonBox Ent. and Red Rover. The series follows two young robots who dream of becoming battle bots.
DREAM DEFENDERS is produced by Tiny Island Prods. The series centers on two rival twins who must defend the real world from the beasts of the dream world.
The two CG series will get a primetime launch on Sept. 25.
The cable network is a partnership between Sony, Discovery and IMAX.
