London, UK (15 September 2011) – The two leading 2D animation software developers from Europe are sponsoring the Ottawa International Animation Festival and taking part in the prestigious Television Animation Conference. The United Kingdom’s CelAction and France’s TVPaint Développement re-affirmed today their commitment to supporting Canadian animation.

“Canada has a strong animation industry, and it’s vital that Canadian production companies have access to a choice of professional animation software,” said CelAction’s Andy Blazdell. “There are so many different visual styles in demand nowadays, each requiring unique workflows and pipelines – the only way to stay competitive is to combine software and use the right product for the right task. The successful companies will be the ones who have evaluated all the possibilities out there.”

“TVP Animation is already a big success in schools and studios in Canada,” said Fabrice Debarge of TVPaint Développement. “We want to maintain this momentum, and make sure all Canadian companies are aware of the tools we provide. Ottawa is the perfect forum for this.”

CelAction and TVPaint Développement will both have booths at the Television Animation Conference on the 21st-22nd September, and also will have stands at the National Gallery of Canada on the 24th September.

Although CelAction2D and TVP Animation are stand-alone products, they also are interoperable, allowing for greater flexibility, more power and maximum efficiency in the production pipeline.

CelAction2D is available for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. TVP Animation is available for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Linux and Mac OSX.
