CelAction today announced a brand new add-in called PlusOne for their popular CelAction2D animation software that enables 2D animators to work in a full 3D environment, include 3D models in their scenes, and output full stereoscopic 3-D. Animators can use 3-D glasses to view and edit their stereoscopic scenes in real-time, without having to render first, making it much easier to produce effective 3D movement. Full 3D environments can be created either using existing 2D artwork oriented in 3D or by importing textured 3D models from a variety of standard formats. An unlimited number of cameras with full xyz movement and rotation can be set up and moved freely around the set.

To make sure that CelAction's 3-D efforts are in line with the market's needs, they have teamed up with Alexander Lentjes from 3-D Revolution Productions, a leading expert in stereoscopic 3-D animation production.

The PlusOne module is an optional add-in to CelAction2D Professional Edition, and is automatically included in CelAction2D Studio Edition.
