CBS Sunday Morning Takes Look At TV Animation

CBS NEWS SUNDAY MORNING is scheduled to broadcast a segment on the current state of the animation industry and what it sees as trends in TV animation on Feb. 8, 2004. The report will feature interviews with a number of key talents in the industry, among them J. J. Sedelmaier, of J. J. Sedelmaier Productions, representing the traditional 2D side of the business. Also featured in the piece will be animator and illustrator Gary Baseman, whose new animated feature film, TEACHER'S PET, was recently released by Disney, as well as a representative from Pixar and other sources on the animation industry.

The segment was produced by Ed Forgotson, Jr., who spent a half-day with a camera crew at the White Plains studios of J. J. Sedelmaier Prods. recently to shoot interviews and B-roll footage for the segment. Hosted by Charles Osgood, CBS NEWS SUNDAY MORNING airs at 9:00 am ET and at 7:00 am PT.
