Cast Announced for Gods Behaving Badly

The cast has been set for the fantasy-comedy GODS BEHAVING BADLY, the feature directing debut of LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE producer Marc Turtletaub, writes The Hollywood Reporter. The story follows a couple that gets caught up in the drama of Greek gods living in an apartment in New York City.

Alicia Silverstone (CLUELESS) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (TV's DAMAGES) will play the couple. Christopher Walken (THE DEER HUNTER) takes the role of the top god Zeus. John Turturro (TRANSFORMERS) takes the villainous part of Hades. Sharon Stone (CASINO) has been cast as the goddess of love Aphrodite, Oliver Platt (TV's THE BIG C) as the god of arts Apollo, Edie Falco (TV's THE SOPRANOS) as goddess of wild animals Artemis, Phylicia Rashad (TV's THE COSBY SHOW) as goddess of the harvest Demeter; Nelsan Ellis (TV's TRUE BLOOD) as the god of wine Dionysus, Gideon Glick (ONE LAST THING…) as the god of sex Eros, Henry Zebrowski (TV's MICHAEL & MICHAEL HAVE ISSUES.) as the messenger god Hermes; and Rosie Perez (PINEAPPLE EXPRESS) as queen of the underworld Persephone.

Turtletaub and Josh Goldfaden adapted the script from Marie Phillips' book. Turtletaub will producer with his Big Beach partner Peter Saraf. Caroline Jaczko is the exec producer.

Production will begin this month in NYC.
