Matt Stone and Trey Parker have issued an apology to the unapproved lifting of dialogue from a CollegeHumor short, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Aired on Wednesday, "Insheeption" featured lines that were exactly or very similar to those that were in the web short "Inception Characters Don't Understand Inception." The line, "Sometimes my thoughts of my dead wife manifest themselves as trains," appeared verbatim in the episode and the short.

Stone told the New York Times that when they were writing the episode they were unable to get a copy INCEPTION and looked on the Internet for dialogue. They wrongly believed that the dialogue in the CollegeHumor short was directly from the film. Stone said, "It's just because we do the show in six days, and we're stupid and we just threw it together."

Dan Gurewitch and David Young, who wrote the short, will meet with Parker and Stone the next time the SOUTH PARK creators are in NYC.
