Seth MacFarlane to Guest Voice 'Simpsons' Role

The “Family Guy” creator to appear on the 25th season premiere of Fox's animated comedy series.

Academy Award ceremony host Seth MacFarlane is heading to Springfield, according to a report by Entertainment Weekly.

The Family Guy creator is set to voice a role in Fox's animated comedy series The Simpsons for the show's 25th-season premiere next year.

Simpsons producer Al Jean said that MacFarlane will play a married man who pursues Marge Simpson in an episode titled "Dangers on a Train."

MacFarlane previously lent his voice to Futurama, another animated comedy from The Simpsons creator Matt Groening. Dan Castellaneta, who voices Homer Simpson, has guest-starred on Family Guy, which also airs on Fox.

In addition to Family Guy, MacFarlane created and voices characters in American Dad and The Cleveland Show. He also directed and co-wrote the summer box-office hit Ted.
