Galen Walker, the producer of the upcoming live-action TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES feature, has acquired the rights to THE CABBAGE PATCH KIDS from Original Appalachian Artworks, writes The Hollywood Reporter. Walker holds the rights with CWA Carlin West Agency, which is headed by former 4Kids exec Carlin West. The producers plan to exploit the popular '80s brand first as a TV special. A script is being worked on.
