Cartoons on the Bay Returns for 2014

Following a brief hiatus in 2013, the 17th edition of Italian international animation festival Cartoons by the Bay takes place in Venice April 10-12, 2014.

Following a brief hiatus in 2013, the 17th edition of Italian international animation festival Cartoons by the Bay is set to take place in Venice April 10-12, 2014.

Established in 1995 by Gianpaolo Sodano, Cartoons on the Bay is dedicated to television animation and cross-media. Organized by RAI Publishing, the festival’s purpose is to promote the activities of writers and producers from around the world, providing an opportunity to meet with buyers, distributors and television producers.

This year’s edition will be held at the prestigious and fashionable location of Palazzo Labia, and in addition to the Pulcinella Awards, will include panel discussions, meetings, retrospectives and previews.

Categories for submissions to the festival include TV Series for Preschool, TV Series for Kids, TV Series for Teens, Hybrid TV Series, Educational and Social Issues Work, TV Pilots, Advertising and Promotional Work, Interactive Animation and Short Films.
