Cartoon Network To Unleash Their Finest Animation Cartoons

Cartoon Network plans to clean out their vaults and uncork a two-day, 20-hour "The Best We GoT" new and classic cartoon marathon on April 14 and 15, 2001. The marathon will showcase the best classic cartoons on Saturday, April 14, while on Sunday, April 15, the best cartoons from Cartoon Network's acclaimed original animation series will air. "The Best We GoT" will air from 12-10 p.m. (ET, PT) each day. More than 110 cartoons from Cartoon Network's vast archives of more than 8,000 animated titles will air. Saturdays program will feature a cavalcade of cartoon stars including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Tweety, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Foghorn Leghorn, Yosemite Sam, Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote, Speedy Gonzales and others. More than 60 cartoons will air from 12 noon to 10 p.m. (ET, PT). Sundays program will dedicate 10 hours to shows from ITS CARTOON CARTOONS original animation program. From 12 noon to 10 p.m. (ET, PT), Cartoon Network will air the best episodes FROM DEXTER'S LABORATORY, THE POWERPUFF GIRLS, ED, EDD, N EDDY, COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG, JOHNNY BRAVO and others. Cartoon Network's first original animated series, DEXTER'S LABORATORY, debuted in 1996. Since then, original CARTOON CARTOONS have become the foundation of the 24-hour basic cable network, with more than $500 million budgeted over the next five years for original animation.
