Award-winning producer Dan Balaam has been promoted to creative director of Cartoon Network and Boomerang in the U.K. and is now in charge of all on air promotions and packaging for the channels. Having been with the channel since its launch, Dan has had a huge influence on the fun and irreverent look and style of the channel. While at Cartoon Network U.K. he has won five Promax Awards and last year took the Gold for his TOM AND JERRY Hammer Time promo, in the Best Use of Audio category, as well as a Silver for Best Children's Promotion for THE SMURFS Small and Blue. Dan was present at the launch of Cartoon Network U.K. in 1993 starting as a PA, moving on to AP, then to Producer, Senior Producer, Creative Manager and finally to Creative Director.
