Cartoon Network Scares Up Halloween Programming

Cartoon Network has scared up Halloween-theme episodes of its hit shows, including the premiere of a new Halloween-inspired episode of ED, EDD N EDDY.

Airing Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, from 7-7:30 pm, ED, EDD N EDDYS BOO HAW-HAW follows Ed, Edd and Eddy as they attempt to find the legendary, trick-or-treat-filled neighborhood of Spook-E-Ville. In preparation, Ed spends the entire day watching horror movies. Once the sun sets, Eds TV-addled brain fantasizes that monsters are stalking their every step.

At 7:30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday and Friday night at 8:00 pm, Cartoon Network will air a full-length movie based on the mysterious adventures of the Scooby and the Mystery, Inc. gang.

On Wednesday, Oct. 27, SCOOBY-DOO AND THE LEGEND OF THE VAMPIRE follows Scooby-Doo and the gang as they attend a music festival held at Vampire Rock in Australia, but the music goes flat when they learn that a legendary Australian creature is kidnapping the musical acts and turning them into vampires. Masquerading as a heavy metal band, the Mystery Inc. gang must survive a trio of rock-and-roll vampires if they want to crack the outlandish Outback mystery.

On Thursday, Oct. 28, SCOOBY DOO ON ZOMBIE ISLAND follows the gang on an adventure to spooky Moonscar Island, where they investigate a haunted house on a Louisiana bayou. During their sleuthing, Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Velma encounter a host of creepy characters, including a sinister ghost pirate, a ghostly Civil War soldier and an island crawling with zombies.

On Friday, Oct. 29, Cartoon Network will premiere SCOOBY-DOO AND THE LOCH NESS MONSTER. Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Daphne, Fred and Velma travel to Scotland to co-host the famous Highland games, where they get more than fun when they discover the Loch Ness Monster. Before the games begin, the gang must unravel the secret behind the fabled monster, who is angry that theyre holding the games on her sacred nesting ground.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, from 3:00-6:00 pm, the network will host Scary Saturday Block Party. The three-hour marathon will feature spooky episodes and specials of cartoon favorites like FOSTERS HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS, THE GRIM ADVENTURES OF BILLY AND MANDY and HAMTARO.

Sunday, Oct. 30, from 12-7:00 pm, CN will host a BILLY & MANDY Dare-A-Thon. The half-hour Halloween special, Billy and Mandys Jacked-Up Halloween, will kick-off the marathon as well as bring it to a close.
