Cartoon Network Rolls Out D.I.C.E. Jan. 22

Cartoon Network presented the U.S. television debut of D.I.C.E. on Jan. 22, 2005 at 7:30 pm. The anime series was created by Bandai Ent. and animated by renowned animation studio, Xebec (subsidiary of Production I.G.), and showcases cutting-edge CG/cel animation for TV animation from Japan.

D.I.C.E (DNA Integrated Cybernetic Enterprises) is a large organization established to deal with emergencies occurring throughout the Sarbylion galaxy. D.I.C.E. F-99 is the only unit comprised entirely of highly trained kids. When a problem arises, D.I.C.E. is called to the rescue. And when their special training and skills aren't enough, they rely on their Dinobreakers to help get the job done.

The action/adventure show for boys 6-11 features transforming dinosaur vehicles that are available as toys from Bandai America.

Cartoon Network has acquired 26 episodes of D.I.C.E. Other productions by Xebec are LOVE HANNA, ZOIDS and STELLVIA. Ken Iyadomi is exec producer and Charles McCarter is the principal producer.

Sometimes those in need doubt the D.I.C.E. F-99 unit because they are kids so they must go out of their way to prove themselves. They counter with snappy retorts and ingenious, fun to watch, transforming abilities in this colorful series that remains true to anime animation traditions of brilliant graphic styles, jumpcuts, keyframe freezes and blazing effects.
