Cartoon Network Latin America has announced its 2003 line-up, which includes the exclusive fifth season launch of POKEMON, the launch of two new Cartoon Network originals and all-new episode premieres of eight Cartoon Cartoons, including DEXTER'S LABORATORY and THE POWERPUFF GIRLS. Cartoon Network LA is also set to host its 10th birthday celebration and kick off the fifth season of COPA TOON, the virtual interactive soccer tournament. "With a host of new programming and Website initiatives, promotional activities and events, we'll be celebrating our 10th year in an amazing position as the favorite and highest rated network for kids throughout the region," said Barry Koch, senior vice president and general manager of Cartoon Network Latin America. Cartoon Network LA rings in the New Year with the viewer's choice POKEMON marathon, beginning December 31, 2002 at 5:00 pm, and continuing until 5:00 pm January 1, 2003. Viewers are invited to log on to CartoonNetworkLA.com between November 15-December 13, 2002 to vote for their favorite POKEMON characters and episodes. The debut episode of the fifth season of POKEMON will air directly following the marathon. Beginning on Fridays in February 2003, the new Cartoon Network original series WHATEVER HAPPENED TO ROBOT JONES? joins the slate, along with another new comedy CODENAME: KIDS NEXT DOOR. New episodes of Cartoon Cartoon favorites DEXTER'S LABORATORY, THE POWERPUFF GIRLS , SAMURAI JACK , GRIM & EVIL, SHEEP IN THE BIG CITY, TIME SQUAD, COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG and ED, EDD N EDDY will also have exclusive premieres on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout 2003. Also coming to the network are new episodes of SAGWA, THE CHINESE SIAMESE CAT and HAMTARO, as well as action-adventure cartoons INUYASHA, SUPER DOLL LICCA CHAN, THE ADVENTURES OF JACKIE CHAN and JUSTICE LEAGUE.
