Carrere Group Nabs Cotoons Rights

Carrere Group has obtained the international distribution rights to COTOONS. This animated series of 26 episodes is produced by Zone 3 in Canada and Film en Stock in France. Carrere Group will handle all television sales in the world, excluding the co-production territories Canada and France.

COTOONS is a 3D animated series, where curious creatures who always seem to find a solution to any predicament by working things out together. Each episode has a dilemma to resolve. By creating a magic portal, the Cotoons leap with excitement into our world to find the solution. Where do eggs come from? And honey? Do animals have a home? What is rhythm? How do flowers grow? And what do I do when I have no friends to play with?

Toy maker Smoby (n˚2 in Europe) is coming out with a new range of products baed on the series designed to develop the interaction between parents, children and their toys, thus helping to stimulate the babys imagination during play.

Licensing agency VIP, a subsidiary of Carrere Group, is in charge of the merchandising and licenses for the world. The synergies between the already proven success story of the toy line and the television distribution will boost the licensing worldwide.
