Carl Squared Nominated, Renewed

Portfolio Entertainment's clone-themed animated comedy series for tweens, CARL SQUARED, has been renewed for additional seasons in Belgium and Israel after being nominated for six Canadian Awards for the Electronic and Animated Arts (Elans).

Renewing both seasons three and four, VRT in Belgium has picked up 26 half-hour episodes for broadcast in Dutch-speaking Belgium while Noga in Israel has renewed the fourth season of the series consisting of 13 episodes.

The Elans recognize excellence in the video game and animation industries and will take place in Vancouver on Feb. 15.

Seth MacFarlane, creator of FAMILY GUY and AMERICAN DAD, will host.

CARL SQUARED's hero is Carl Crashman, who accidentally generates his own clone after venting about his life in his online journal.

Carl must scramble to cover up the trail of chaos that his exuberant clone, C2, leaves in his wake.
