Nestor Carbonell is in talks to return as the Gotham Mayor in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, reports Variety. The cast ready includes Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Diego Klattenhoff and Burn Gorman.
Christopher Nolan is returning as the director and wrote the script along with his brother Jonathan. He will also produce alongside Emma Thomas and Charles Roven.
Filming will take place in Pittsburgh starting this summer. Warner Bros. has set July 20, 2012 for the film's release.
