DreamWorks adventure SINBAD: LEGEND OF THE SEVEN SEAS hits theaters on July 2, 2003, but can it fend off tough competition from live-action films like Warner Bros. and Columbia/TriStars TERMINATOR 3:RISE OF THE MACHINES or MGMs LEGALLY BLONDE 2: RED, WHITE & BLONDE? With the track record of 2D features of late, it looks like an upward battle for the tradigital picture, which was directed by Tom Johnson and Patrick Gilmore, featuring the voices of Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones Joseph Fiennes and Michelle Pfeiffer.
T3 looks like the front-runner in the race to take the box office crown. The films heavy effects load was done by ILM, PDI, Anatomorphex and Pacific Title & Optics. However, the surprising box office runner of the first LEGALLY BLONDE, starring Reese Witherspoon, film might pull off an upset. The box office has been slow this summer and it might take some of the second half heavyweights to pull in more cash for the studios.
