The International Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart is a biannual event. This competitive festival promotes artistic animated shorts. The International Competition will feature about 50 films; "Tricks for Kids," the Children´s Film Competition will present 20 films. And the Young Animation Competition will present 40 student films. Non-competitive sections include: Best of Animation, a selection of the most important and interesting animated films from the last five years; Feature Animation, with six feature films; In Persona, a tribute to the works of individual filmmakers; Days of Filmtalk, discussions about the production/distribution of animated films as well as the artistic challenges.
