Entry Deadline: July 15, 2001

The San Diego Asian Film Festival’s goal is to give Asian American filmmakers an outlet to showcase their work, while fostering support for the independent film community. This year, the festival is proud to have director Ang Lee (CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON) on its honorary board. For the first time at the festival, SDAFF will be showcasing animated shorts produced by Asian Americans in an all-animation 90-minute program. All forms of animation (traditional, clay, stop-motion, CGI, etc) will be accepted. The festival will also accept films pertaining to Asian American issues and themes.
