For the 17th time, the organizers of the Prix Ars Electronica invite artists, scientists, researchers and developers from all over the world to participate in a competition in the categories computer animation, net vision/net excellence, interactive art and digital music. The total prize money amounts to €100,000. The computer animation category is open to 3D CG character animation, abstract CG animation, real-time CG "demo-scene" work, game cutscenes, scientific visualization, commercials, music videos and similar works.
