NewTek, manufacturer of industry-leading video and 3D animation products, is holding the "Model | Animate | Render" Contest 2008. The contest involves the use of any version of LightWave 3D, including the free trial edition (www.newtek.com/lightwave/lwtrial/), to showcase contestants' best work with respect to three categories: modeling, animation, and rendering.
Prizes will be awarded to the top four finalists with the grand prize winner receiving a prize package valued at over $2,500US. The contest runs June 6 through July 31 with contest submission beginning on July 1st. Details are available at www.lightwave3d.com/contest/. Award winners will be announced live on-stage on August 12 at SIGGRAPH in Los Angeles, California.
