The 2nd Berlinale Talent Campus brings together filmmakers from all over the world to help young filmmakers get passionate about the art form. In 2004, the six-day series of events explores the five stages of creating a film: philosophy, pre-production, production, post-production and promotion. The program will touch on essential elements of movies such as “sounds,” “vision,” “action,” “turning points” and “climax.” With the new focus, “the sound and music,” the target group is broadened to include sound designers, composers and film editors. The structure and content of the program will combine an international outlook with practical aspect of filmmaking. The event is open to those who work or study in the areas of scriptwriting, producing, directing, cinematography, acting, and, for the first time, sound recording, sound design or composing.
