HypeFest, a newly launched film and video festival that offers an opportunity for filmmakers to promote their work to the commercial community, has announced its call for entries. The festival's premiere event will be held in Hollywood, California, July 25-27, 2003. HypeFest is accepting short films (50 minutes or less), commercials, music videos and promos for competition screening. Entrants must send a completed, signed entry form with each submission, which is available online at the HypeFest Website. Only works completed in 2002 or 2003 are eligible. Projects may be submitted for consideration on NTSC VHS or DVD. Early entries receive a discount on submissions.

Early entry fee: $35; $20 w/Student ID. Early submission deadline: February 15, 2003. Entry Fee: $45; $30 w/ Student ID. Entry Deadline: April 30, 2003.
