The conference also features IFP/Chicago's Flyover Zone Short Film Festival, which showcases short films of high artistic merit produced in the Flyover Zone in the categories of Student Films and Comedy, Dramatic, Non-Fiction and Experimental Shorts. The Flyover Zone is the name given to that area of the United States between New York and Los Angeles often viewed by industry executives from 35,000 feet above the earth.
