The five-year-old the Deep Ellum Film Festival celebrates the best in independent film, music and art while raising funds for victims of cancer. The event will host more than 40 live music venues, 30 restaurants and art galleries. Through a film competition, outdoor and roof top screenings and seminars and panels, DE/F2 captures the pop-culture soul of the historic Deep Ellum Arts District while providing independent filmmakers, both new and established, exposure to the film community. Each year, DE/F2 has grown in prominence and success, with DE/F2002 attracting a young, sophisticated and entrepreneurial audience of more than 12,000 people to nightclubs, juke joints, art galleries and theaters that line the streets of Deep Ellum.
