Chicago International Children's Film Festival

Chicago, Illinois, USA

Thursday, October 23 - Sunday, November 02, 2003

Entry Deadline: Thursday, May 01, 2003

The 20th Annual Chicago International Children’s Film Festival (CICFF), an Academy-qualifying festival and the largest and oldest competitive kids’ festival in North America, is now accepting submissions. The CICFF invites entries in all categories, including live-action and animation, features and shorts, television programs and kid-produced work. The CICFF has earned an international reputation for presenting the best in children’s media and advocates positive programming for children: humanistic, non-exploitative, culturally diverse and non-violent work that not only features children in leading roles, but tells their stories and addresses their issues. Cash prizes include Best of Fest Prize ($2,500); Montgomery Jury Prizes for Adult Director ($2,500) and Child Director ($2,500); Liv Ullmann Peace Prize ($500); and Rights of the Child Prize ($500). There is no entry fee for child-produced work (ages 3-13). Entry form and regulations are available online at www.cicff.org, or contact kidsfest@facets.org.
