Animation Block Party 2006 features more diverse award categories, a new jury of animation talents and fresh chances to exhibit films at more venues. Animation Block Party 2006 will officially transmit at Rooftop Films, Galapagos Art Space and BamCinematek.
ABP's festival jury will include Kyle Baker, Toni Tysen, OddTodd and Celia Bullwinkel. Software from Boinx and Autodesk are among the prizes offered by Animation Block’s sponsors. Other prizes include subscriptions from ANIMATION and RES MAGAZINE and gift certificates from NY Central Art Supply. Most notably, the winner of best “student film” will receive the rare opportunity to direct an animation spot for Crumpler Bags.
