The ANIMANIMA festival is a continuation of the tradition established by the national Festival of Animated Film, in the country that used to be called Yugoslavia when renowned Zagreb and Belgrade Schools were at their height. The animation festival hopes to promote productions from the region, Europe and other parts of the world. The festival's hopes are directed towards becoming part of the global animation network, offering a friendly hand to Zagreb, Annecy, Rio de Janeiro, Hiroshima and Ottawa. The heart of the festival is the Cultural Centre in Cacak, located in the heart of the city, which lies in the heart of Serbia. June 30, 2007, is the deadline for entry forms and July 31, 2007, is the deadline to submit finished films. For more information, visit www.animanima.org.
