Anima 2003 (formerly the Brussels Festival of Cartoons and Animated Films) will take place from February 26 - March 9, 2003 in Brussels, Belgium. The goal of Anima 2003 is to promote cartoons and animated films from all over the world. It also seeks to foster a dialogue between professionals, filmmakers and the public, and to raise awareness of quality animation and computer generated images among film and television distributors. The festival is a non-competitive event that is open to all animated fiction films and makes no distinction between formats, running time or techniques. The festival also nominates European films from the festival selection for the Cartoon d'Or, and organizes a national competition for films produced in Belgium. Entry is free of charge.
