The Action/Cut Short Film Competition is a newly launched annual contest and a unique opportunity to discover the next generation of great filmmakers from the U.S. and around the world. Filmmakers will compete in three categories: Animation, Fiction and Documentary. The competition is designed to open Hollywood career access doors for the winners and truly enable them to move forward which is what every filmmaker hopes for when they win a competition. There is more than $30,000 in value prizes and 75+ awards, including cash prizes, industry career access to Hollywood players, distribution offers and many sponsor awards” Finalists will be announced on August 15 and the winners on Sept. 1, 2004.
