Calemzuk New President of Fox Television Studios

Emiliano Calemzuk has been named president of Fox Television Studios (FtvS), following five years serving as president of FOX International Channels Italy.

Emiliano is a talented executive who has helped build a very strong profile for FOX channels throughout Europe and Latin America, said Peter Chernin, president/coo of News Corp. who Calemzuk reports to. Hes accomplished this in large part due to his keen eye for programming and alternative genres. Were confident hell bring a unique perspective to FtvS and were excited for him get started.

FOX International Channels (FIC) develops and distributes wholly- and majority-owned entertainment, factual, sports and movie channels in virtually all markets across Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia. Using a variety of strong brands, FIC broadcasts some 58 television services in 29 languages. The networks and their related mobile and high-definition extensions go to more than 350 million subscribing households, making FIC one of the most robust and diverse operations in the television industry.

Im extremely excited for the opportunity to lead Fox Television Studios, and to work with the many talented executives in the studios alternative, scripted and international divisions, said Calemzuk. Calemzuk took the helm of FOX International Channels Italy in 2002, leading the creation and development of the 10-channel group currently broadcasting on Sky Italia. FOX became and remains the market leader in ratings and advertising revenues through its networks FOX, FOX Life, FOX Crime, FX, National Geographic, National Geographic HD, Adventure One, The History Channel, Cult and NextHD. Based in Rome, Calemzuk has been responsible for day-to-day operations of the channels, in addition to supervising the FOX channels in Spain, France and Eastern Europe, and the National Geographic channel in Germany and Turkey.

Prior to FOX International Channels Italy, Calemzuk was vp/dmd of FOX Latin American Channels. Based in Los Angeles, he supervised all operating divisions of the FOX channels across 19 countries. Under his leadership, National Geographic emerged as a ratings leader in the factual genre across Latin America.

In 2000, Calemzuk became gm of Fox Kids Latin America where, in just one year, he successfully implemented a turn-around of the network, making it the fastest growing childrens channel in Latin America.

Calemzuk joined News Corp. in 1998 as associate director of marketing and promotions for Fox Latin America. Earlier he was at Miami at Hero Prods. (currently Globecast North America) where he led the start-up of the music television network HTV.

Fox Television Studios is a program supplier to the major U.S. and international broadcast and cable networks.

Both Regency Television and FtvS are currently in development for the 2007-8 TV season, with a variety of pilots ordered for broadcast and cable. Fox Television Studios-International maintains production studios in the U.K., France, India, Australia and New Zealand, with its international format production arm, Fox World, in production on more than 50 shows in Europe and Latin America.
